Our Story
Gore Musical Theatre, in a nutshell
WELCOME TO GORE MUSICAL THEATRE
Based at the SBS St James Theatre, Gore Musical Theatre is a community theatre group in Gore.

Gore Musical Theatre provide all aspects of art and theatre to the Gore community including providing space for any type of show, community space for concerts and rehearsals, sound and lighting and costume hire.
We put on two productions each year - a main show at the SBS St James Theatre and a theatre restaurant, this year being held at Gore Town and Country Club.
In 2012, Gore Operatic Society became Gore Musical Theatre to align with other musical theatre organisations throughout New Zealand.
Gore Musical Theatre operates the lease for SBS St James Theatre, Gore, which is run as a movie theatre and hosts live stage shows, concerts and community events. The main theatre seats 440 people and has a multi-use stage which can be set to any size.
The Committee's Function
Our committee is made up of 11 volunteers who donate their time to run the organisation. Their roles include applying and seeking funding grants, sourcing sponsorship, planning shows, and working with the Gore community.
